Every Match Announced For NXT Great American Bash 2021

Four matches and two major segments have been announced for NXT’s Great American Bash this Tuesday night.

The 4th of July might have been and gone for another year, but NXT’s celebrations are yet to begin. The black and gold brand will host its second annual Great American Bash this Tuesday night. Just a one-night event this year, unlike in 2020, but Triple H is clearly keen to pack as much action as possible into the two-hour special.

Three Championship Matches

Both sets of NXT Tag Team Titles will be on the line. The Way’s Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell will defend the Women’s Championships against Zoey Stark and Io Shirai. The challengers earned their shot in a triple threat match last week. As for the men’s match, MSK will defend their titles against Tomasso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher. MSK is yet to lose a two-on-two match in NXT.

As for singles championships, just one will be defended at Great American Bash. The oldest active title in NXT today, but the one with the longest history. The Million Dollar Championship. LA Knight beat Cameron Grimes for Ted DiBiase’s belt at In Your House. Grimes will compete to win it away from Knight, but if he loses, he will have to be the current champions’ butler.

Cole Vs. O’Reilly II

It takes a serious rivalry for a match without a title on the line to warrant a main event spot on a show where every other match boasts gold. Adam Cole versus Kyle O’Reilly is a shining example of exactly that. The two of them have been at each other’s throats since Undisputed Era broke up, and this match will likely mark the end of this chapter in their careers. Odds are it’ll be a match of the year contender.

Outside of in-ring action, two other segments have been announced. Karrion Kross and Johnny Gargano will have a face-to-face. It seems Gargano will be the next challenger to Kross’s title, but it’s unclear when that match might happen. Hit Row has also announced a Championship Cypher. Hit Row’s Isaiah Swerve Scott beat Bronson Reed for the North American Title last week.
