Even if Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson could not achieve his NFL dream, it seems that the NFL will come to him. The Rock is a legend in the pro-wrestling industry and rose to superstar status during the WWE Attitude Era. WWE gave The Rock a platform to make his career, which ultimately led to his ticket to Hollywood.

Since Dwayne Johnson moved to Hollywood, his popularity has just increased 10-fold. Everyone in professional wrestling wants to be inside the ring with The Rock at least once in their life. But now it seems that The Rock has also established his charisma on the gridiron field.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski wants to share the wrestling ring with The Great One.

What type of matches would Rob Gronkowski like to have in the WWE?

Just like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s WWE career, Rob Gronkowski has a staggering football career. Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski has been a 4-time Super Bowl Champion. Gronk recently sat down with TMZ Sports and shared that he would want to be a part of WWE after his football career.

Gronk said, “It would definitely be a tag team match, no doubt about that. I just love the tag team aspect of everything. It’s my first time, so I really wouldn’t want to be on my own doing a one-on-one match. I’ll be able to get help and then grow into that role of maybe going doing one-on-one match after a couple of tag teams.”

Rob Gronkowski discussed that he wouldn’t like to do a single match in his early few matches. Instead, Gronkowski would want a tag team partner to accompany him in the WWE because he loves the idea of tag-team partners.

Why does Gronk want to face The Rock after his football career?

The 4-time NFL Super Bowl Champion has had a wrestling experience with the WWE. At WrestleMania 33, Gronk helped former WWE Superstar Mojo Rawley win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. In addition, Gronk grabbed his WrestleMania moment when he pinned Mojo Rawley to win the WWE 24/7 Championship at WrestleMania 36.

“I’m getting put on the spot; it would be pretty cool to have The Rock come back and face The Rock. Or have him as my tag team partner. It would be cool to get a People’s Elbow, but it will also be cool to have him on my squad,” Rob Gronkowski added.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end mentioned that if he got a chance to book a match for himself in the WWE, he would book it against The People’s Champ. The Rock is one of the favorite wrestlers of Gronk, and he would love to take a People’s Elbow from him.

Gronk won his first three Super Bowls with New England Patriots when he played for them from 2010 to 2018. And Gronkowski won his 4th Super Bowl along with his former New England Patriots teammate Tom Brady as a Tampa Bay Buccaneers player.

After an everlasting football career in the NFL, Gronk wants to collide with The Rock in the WWE someday. What do you think? Will The Rock battle against Rob Gronkowski, or will he accompany him as a tag-team partner?
