WWE has come to terms with the release of over 100 superstars since 2020. While the mass releases have mystified many, it seems like WWE chairman Vince McMahon has finally confessed the reason why he let go of so many wrestlers.
On this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Austin Theory lost a match against the former WWE Universal champion Finn Balor, specifically after Vince McMahon told him to win this one.
Eventually, Vince looked straight to Austin and said that maybe he should fire him, and confessed that he loves firing people. Vince added that he didn’t become a ruthless billionaire by making minor adjustments.
“You lost the match. But I don’t know what to do about it, but maybe I know. Maybe I should fire you. I enjoy firing people. It gives me a warm feeling in my stomach, like I just had a really good meal. But I’mma give you another chance, I will give you a rematch next week against Finn Balor.”
It looks like McMahon has taken a special liking to Austin Theory as the new Raw superstar has been getting on-screen time with the chairman. Eventually, maybe WWE will try to put a bet on Theory and push him more.
