As WrestleMania season ramps up, we can expect one RAW Superstar to make his debut in time for The Show of Shows. And finally, Bray Wyatt has refused to be part of Roman Reigns’ latest historic record.

So, without any further ado, let’s dive in and take a look at some of the biggest news stories surrounding WWE.

It looks like Gable Steveson will be heading straight to WrestleMania after he’s finished his education. The Olympic gold medalist’s time in college is set to end in March, and he may immediately debut for WWE , as he mentioned to Darren Wolfson of KSTP Sports:

“Right when March ends, I’m picking it up,” Gable Steveson said. “I think I’m, I’ll probably head to WrestleMania and do some — I don’t know what from there, but you’ll see. It just picks up again, there’s no break.”
Steveson is a member of the RAW roster, although he’s only appeared in the crowd since being drafted to the red brand. Based on his comments, the star athlete seems likely to show up at WrestleMania, after which he can truly kick off his pro wrestling career.

#2. WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg calls out CNN for a major identity botch

Goldberg called out CNN for mistakenly using images of him while reporting on a story involving Stone Cold Steve Austin. The two WWE legends have been confused for each other multiple times in the past, as they both sport bald heads and goatees.

The two-time Universal Champion was not happy about this and called the news channel out for misinformation on Instagram. Goldberg did maintain some humor and tagged Austin in his post, issuing a playful challenge to the Texas Rattlesnake.

Roman Reigns is set to achieve another historic feat in WWE with his Universal Championship reign. Or is he?

GiveMeSport’s Louis Dangoor noted on Twitter that upon his likely win over Goldberg at Elimination Chamber, The Tribal Chief will have beaten every former Universal Champion during his current run with the title.

Windham (fka Bray Wyatt) replied to the post and demanded his name be taken off the list.

“Take my name off that s***,” Bray Wyatt tweeted.
Reigns had previously won the Universal Title from The Fiend in a triple threat match at Payback 2020, though he pinned Braun Strowman for it. The two have not faced each other since then. This could be why Wyatt has publicly refused to be part of the potential record.

Bray Wyatt isn’t the only former Universal Champion who took issue with the tweet. Seth Rollins also disputed it, claiming it was “fake news.”

This is because Rollins defeated Roman Reigns by disqualification at the Royal Rumble, rendering the tweet factually inaccurate on a technicality even though The Head of the Table walked out with his title.
